1. Information We Collect
To provide you with the full Taskie experience, we collect the following types of information:
- Authentication Data (Google Sign-In): We use Google Sign-In to authenticate you. When you sign in, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture provided by Google services. We do not collect, store, or have access to your password.
- User Content: We store the tasks, goals, workspace names, and other content you create within the app to sync it across your devices.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data about how you use the app to improve performance and fix bugs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account via Google Sign-In.
- To enable collaboration features within Workspaces.
- To calculate and display Leaderboards based on your task completion.
- To send important system notifications (e.g., updates to Terms or service alerts).
3. Gamification & Public Visibility
Taskie is a social productivity app. By joining a Workspace, you acknowledge that your Name/Username and Productivity Score (points earned) will be visible to other members of that specific Workspace on the Leaderboard.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted via SSL/TLS. Authentication is securely handled by Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol.
5. Deleting Your Account
You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app, subject to the conditions below:
- In-App Deletion: Navigate to Profile > Delete Account. This action is irreversible and will immediately remove your personal data from our servers.
- Sole Manager Restriction: To protect the data and continuity of other users, if you are the sole Manager of a Workspace that contains other active non-virtual members, you must assign a new Manager before you can delete your account. If a Workspace contains only you (or you and virtual users), it will be deleted automatically along with your account.
